Transport General Manager Jobs

Northland Transport, a division of Northland Floral is a family owned and operated carrier based in Lincoln Ontario. They are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and run the day to day operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a dispatch team and managing the daily operation of the private and for hire transport business. Reporting to President and this person will be responsible to achieve sales objectives and along with the expertise to provide work class customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of people.
• Support and guide the safety, driver recruiting team
• Liasion with the Maintenance team
• Provide world class customer service
• Drive and encourage development of employees
• Drive new business opportunities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of asset based trucking experience
• Leads by example. Willing to get involved and come up with solutions
• Experience in the refrigerated trucking industry
• Forward thinker. Willing to work and think outside the box.
• Verifiable record of growing sales by providing outstanding customer service
• Strong communications skills.
