On behalf of our client, Lac Ste. Anne Métis Limited Partnership (“LSAM LP”), located in Stony Plain, AB, we are searching for a General Manager.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will provide strategic leadership of economic development ventures associated with the LSAM LP. Acting in alignment with overarching community priorities, the General Manager plays a crucial role in driving the growth and development of the LSAM LP.

What will make the General Manager successful:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, coupled with a demonstrated capability to use good judgement and tact.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Undergraduate or Post-graduate degree in Business Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or Management, or related field. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be equally considered.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial management principles.
- 10+ years’ successful experience in a senior management role that demonstrates business development leadership and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams with the aptitude to adapt to a dynamic and changing business environment.
- A strong desire to act in service to the Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community, including as this concerns advancing and upholding the community’s Métis Aboriginal rights and interests.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities would be an asset.
- Computer software proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, ideally including proficiency using Excel.

The LSAM LP is wholly owned by the Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community Association (“LSAMCA”), the representative organization of the Sec. 35 rights-bearing Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community. LSAMCA is focused on honouring our community’s collective history and culture, re-building our collective capacities as stewards of our shared lands and waters, and caring for our community members through provision of innovative programs and services.
The overarching objective of the LSAM LP is to enhance the involvement of the Lac Ste. Anne Métis Community in current and future economic development opportunities in west central and northwest Alberta.
