Technology Strategy & Transformation Architect Director (Telecom)

Meaningful work you’ll be part of:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Enterprise Architect to join our Technology Strategy team, playing a pivotal role in shaping, and driving technology and data strategies across our Telecom clients. You will be responsible for translating technical concepts into executive-level content and communications, enabling effective decision-making by our clients' senior technology leaders. You will be part of our national Technology Strategy & Transformation team helping customers solve large-scale strategic business problems with technology-enabled solutions.

As a TS&T Architect Director, you'll be part of a team that helps deliver high quality, client service excellence, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Strategic Technology Guidance: Leverage your industry depth and knowledge of key trends, emerging technologies and leading practices to provide strategic technology guidance to our Telecom clients. Stay ahead of current trends and likely disruptors in the Telco industry, enabling the identification of innovative solutions and opportunities for growth in network and technology-enabled business models. You will serve as a trusted advisor to SVP IT/CIO roles building and maintaining relationships with these leaders in order for our recommendations to be accepted by Network and IT teams.
• Architectural Assessment and Road Mapping: Evaluate and assess complex technology application ecosystems and architectures, considering solution options and recommending implementation approaches. Develop comprehensive roadmaps that align with business goals and drive digital transformation initiatives across Telecom clients. Building business models into technical models and architectures to guide implementation teams.
• Vendor Coordination and Program Management: Collaborate with alliance partners to rationalize and modernize existing systems, reduce architectural debt, ensure seamless systems and data integration, and optimize application development processes.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in wireline (e.g. DOCSIS, FTTx, Optical Transport) and wireless (e.g. 5G, Private Wireless Networks) technologies, solution development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting relevant to our clients, sectors, and industries. Bring a deep understanding of software-defined networking (SDN), cloud technologies (e.g. cloud-native network functions), and the integration and implementation of emerging technology solutions. You possess hands-on experience in architecting and delivering complex technology solutions.
• Strategic Cloud Technology Guidance: Provide strategic guidance on leveraging cloud technologies to drive digital transformation and innovation across telco companies. Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in cloud computing and translate them into actionable insights for our clients.

Experiences and skills you’ll use:

• The ability to translate technical concepts into executive-level presentations and discussions
• Hands-on knowledge of leading networking technologies and operations support systems or OSS, for provisioning, fault, and performance management, used in the Telecom sector
• The ability to develop actionable insights from Architectural principles and priorities
• Enterprise architecture certifications, such as TOGAF, along with relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect), demonstrating a strong foundation in architectural principles, frameworks, and cloud technologies
• Deep experience linking business and technology strategies, plans, and roadmaps, using enterprise architecture concepts and frameworks
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• The ability to lead the solution perspective and teams, developing complex solutions across multiple technology eco-system vendors
• Demonstrated executive-level communications skills with prior working experience in a consulting environment
• Experience using Enterprise Architecture modeling tools
• Experience integrating solutions across SaaS, Cloud native as well as Outsource providers and their related data flows
• Experience working also with engineering and cloud teams a prerequisite, aka (moving from big picture to proof of concepts/pilots and realization)
