About The Team

Position Description
We are seeking an established Director of Architecture and Transformation to play a key role in shaping and driving the overall architecture strategy, development and enhancement of new and existing platforms that support transformation and modernization of our technical infrastructure and integrated components. Supporting and coaching a team of architects and engineers, you are tasked with delivering value to our customers and the business, instilling best practices to optimize and integrate across our technology architecture and platforms with a broader scope in support of our overall architecture strategy, scalability, development/ incremental development delivery and DevOps in a highly scalable and robust environment. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, software engineers and our clients to build a world-class, bleeding-edge set of services for Bell Media NTS.
Job Duties/ Accountabilities
The Director of Architecture and Transformation is responsible for the following essential functions:

• Set organization goals for technology, operations and staffing
• Provide ongoing overall strategic technology guidance
• Contribute to financial planning and achieve budget objectives.
• Collaborate with the VP of Bell Media NTS and Product to develop strategy & executive presentations.
• Partner with product and other organizations to maintain healthy roadmaps.
• Partner and collaborate across Bell to ensure the best end-to-end customer experience while influencing decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams
• Drive and partner across the broader enterprise/ technical architecture, development and DevOps integration and best practices standards
• Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
• Maintain relationships with existing vendors and identify new partnership opportunities that will help the company grow.
• Lead, shape and drive overall enterprise/ technical architecture strategy that ensures the future success of our products, solutions, applications and teams
• Lead architectural assessment and road mapping

Qualifications/ Competencies

• Experience working in a large, matrixed organization. Ability to collaborate across groups and organizations
• Extreme comfort with ambiguity, visionary
• 10+ years of experience in shaping and driving technology/ enterprise architecture in a leadership role within a large enterprise environment(s); architecting & building products from pre-launch through maturity with a focus on IT or cloud based applications
• Experience setting goals for engineering teams, coaching for improvement and performing structured performance evaluations
• Ability to drive innovative solutions forward in a fast-paced environment
• Proven success creating enterprise focused solutions
• 5+ years experience directly managing a team of architect/ engineering leaders
• Expertise in enterprise/ technology architecture strategy and development, integration, products solutions and standards.
• Experience in leading large scale IT transformation/ modernization
• Experience managing budgets or a cost center
• Ability to tie together complex solutions across systems in an enterprise landscape
• Storytelling for executive buy-in
• Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, SAFe and cloud infrastructure services
• Knowledge of Java, React, REST, Service Oriented Architecture, Databases, Kafka and DevOps tool chains is a plus
• Strong initiative and demonstrated leadership across functions and levels
