Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Manager, you will drive the specification, execution, and delivery of new functionality for IBM NS1 Connect Managed DNS and related SaaS offerings. This person will be a vital part of the product management organization, responsible for the success of new features, partnering with engineers and developers, and overseeing the flawless execution of the roadmap.

You Will

• Providing vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project
• Keep abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices and recent trends
• Work closely with scrum teams day to day to ensure they are building features right
• Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of new or improved functionality
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
• Create detailed requirements for new or improved features
• Lead the planning of feature release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Work closely with senior Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Familiarity with enterprise middleware, API frameworks, and DevOps models
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Understand “user experience” and “customer journey.”
• Previous working experience as a technical product manager or Product Owner for 3+ years (s)
• Familiarity with network/application infrastructures, cloud platforms, or related technologies.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar relevant field
