JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Product Commercialization Manager is responsible for the leadership of all Product Management application and commercialization strategy for the Central Group (TCG). Collaborating with the entire Retail Strategy Team on go to market strategy, insights and client facing content. The PCM will manage the creation and communication of TCG developed and patented in-store product offerings to all TCG’s business development targets, as well as potential and existing clients (Consumer Packaged Goods client focus and emerging verticals). The PCM will be a go-getter who really understands the importance of Sales Strategy, Market Research and the role in-store Assets play in the phygital marketplace. A growth focus and intention of building and driving equity in the TCG Client Engagement kit will make this person a key asset to the National Sales Team as they establish a baseline for our growing portfolio of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and delivers all Product Commercialization Plans to be utilized for business development purposes and to enhance potential and existing client value.

  • Liaison between other agency (3rd party and partner Agencies)
  • Champion all Sales Tools for prospecting and strategic clients (in collaboration with Strategy and Marketing Teams) — Mine and analyze data from Market Evaluations to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Collaborate and set tools and process strategy with the Sales Team, owning the communication of product insights and analytics to the National Sales team.
  • Set Product KPI’s and develop Reporting and dashboard development leadership.
  • Crafting and maintain all tools (including case studies and best practices) and processes for the purposes of business development.
  • Provides Product expertise to the Marketing team in implementation of all communication relative to the development of potential business for TCG, including, social media SEO, case studies, whitepapers, research studies and product and service communications.

Cross Functional Service offerings

Manages and leads the following:

  • Central’s internal product commercialization training and learning agenda. Facilitates group sessions that enhance the Sales capabilities and ideates new enhancements to go-to-market strategy
  • Create visualizations of the information available to tell a story and add value to a business opportunity or concern.
  • Leadership on Customer facing Marketing and Insight support to Client interaction with both the Sales and Creative team members. Collaborates with department Director on first-tier Client relations
  • Develops channel specific plans for product sales in the CPG Marketplace, Experiential Marketing, Sports/Fashion and other newly identified verticals
  • Annual Planning architecture
  • Supports the Performance at Retail (P@R) methodology at TCG including the presentation, communication and implementation of P@R with qualified clients.
  • Highly strategic and adeptly derives Retailer-driven insights out of quantitative and qualitative information; poses thoughtful and provoking questions that spur innovative thinking about the business and demonstrates strong learning agility

ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, Retailer or Agency Organization with a focus on Shopper Insights/Strategy/Marketing
  • Experience with US CPG retail marketplace is an asset
  • University or master’s degree in business (preferably Business, Marketing or Technology)
  • Minimum 8 years Marketing/Sales/Innovation experience is required in an emphasis on commercialization
  • Natural sense of urgency and drive to reach goals with high efficiency
  • Innovative and looks for new approaches
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and ability to operate in a matrix environment
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering quality Insights products and services both internally and externally (client facing).
