Sr. Director, Business Intelligence

The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for ensuring that information from systems and external sources yields actionable intelligence, ensuring that data is governed to satisfy regulatory and audit requirements, and that Business Intelligence resources across the organization are supported, coordinated, and guided.

This role represents the organizational headlights needed to fortify a market leading position, outperform competitors, guide commercial activities, and continually drive operational effectiveness and innovation.

This role will require experience as a BI business partner to guide disparate, non-IT groups as well as a variety of BI stakeholders. The role will also oversee a diverse group of individuals that currently providing BI reporting, data warehousing, systems integrations, and application support functions. Strong team management, mentoring and Bl leadership skills are imperative. The role will have significant latitude and responsibility to shape the resources and structure of this essential and evolving function, as the company expands its product portfolio and range of operations. Business intelligence from a wide range of data sources, from HR systems to industrial equipment, are all in-scope for differentiating the company’s efficiency and competitiveness.

The Director of Business Intelligence will report directly to the CIO and support programmatic, strategic dialogue with C-Suite and senior leaders across the organization, guiding overall IT strategy, IT investments and the solutions used by other departments.

Experience:

·Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred

·Proven track record of success in senior-level roles in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field (12+ years of experience).

·Expert-level skill in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Warehouse and supporting Microsoft technologies such as ADF and BYOD.

·Extensive experience in D365, SQL, Power Apps

·Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power BI, D365, and Power Apps are highly desirable.

Competencies:

·Seasoned leader with evidence of developing and implementing BI programs in mid-sized operations, ideally from a CPG / Regulated industry background.

·Strong “service provider” and “business partner” orientation. A proactive, collaborative, and accessible leader to both the IT organization and the entire organization.

·Strong team mentoring activities including but not limited to Objective Setting and Evaluation, Performance Management, and Skills development planning.

·Strong business, corporate and financial acumen.

·Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management and stakeholders.

·Ability to prioritize cross-functional and competing requests and utilize a structured, technology-enabled work management system to efficiently manage the workload of the team.

·Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering BI projects on time and within budget.

·Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies.

·French language proficiency desirable.
