SENIOR ASSET INTEGRITY ENGINEER (MILL)
Reporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer, the Senior Asset Integrity Engineer's role is to use their knowledge to develop, implement and improve the maintenance program. They are also responsible to develop strategies to improve plant reliability and to troubleshoot recurring mechanical issues to find the root cause and the solution to it. They must technically support the various operation, engineering and maintenance teams in order to achieve production, availability, cost and health and safety targets.
Key Responsibilities
Area 1:
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with the maintenance program.

• Investigate and analyze the root causes of recurring failures (RCA) and propose solutions to eliminate problems.
• Develop standards jobs, methods and procedures for maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment.
• Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Review maintenance plan modifications request (frequency, nature of the task, PM/PdM improvement)
• Use the CMMS (Oracle eAM) to extract datas to work on the bad actors
• Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial maintenance
• Originates and develops analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes.
• Acquires and analyzes data. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
• Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance to industrial maintenance crews
• Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
• Conducts an analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for the particular situation, with consideration given to the cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials/equipment.

Area 2
Manage projects and modifications related to mechanical engineering.

• Ensure the quality and revision of drawings and technical documentation of mechanical equipment in the system.
• Lead the management of change process from the request to the final implementation
• Provide expert advice on site on mechanical engineering procedures and practices related to mechanical maintenance.
• Analyze management of change requests from Operation to understand the plus-value based on facts
• Ensure compliance with and application of mechanical standards, laws and codes.
• Prepare feasibility studies, material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications.
• Design, modify and validate mechanical engineering drawings and plans.
• Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of new modifications.
• Coordinate the realization of projects with the various departments and contractors.

Area 3
Technically support the operation, engineering and maintenance teams.

• Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with demands for timely repair of processes/equipment.
• Act as a technical advisor for a variety of internal and external requests.
• Participate in various maintenance projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise, support and training to the junior engineers
• Conducts analysis of maintainability problems and investigates to determine the outage required for the particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials/equipment.
• Write reports and prepare technical documents to support decision-making.
• Develop and review procedures and training for equipment repair.

Area 4
Work collaboratively with others to deliver innovative continuous improvement opportunities.

• Keep abreast of trends in engineering and impart to Cote Gold.
• Continuously seek to improve technical knowledge and skills.
• Provide new approaches, methods or policies to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
• Identify training and development opportunities for the team.
• Propose new methods to meet challenges of mechanical engineering.
• Seek and implement best-in-class practices.
• Conduct research and benchmarking to support decision-making and improve mechanical processes, technologies and methodologies used for the operation.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements And Nice To Haves
minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents

• Registration (or eligibility to register) as an Engineer in Ontario (PEO).
• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

Work experience - Nature & Length

• Previous experience in open pit mining or mineral processing (specifically gold processing) is considered an asset.
• A minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
