Currently, we seek a motivated and mechanically inclinedMaintenance Supervisorfor our manufacturing locations in Kitchener-Waterloo.


Location: Kitchener-Waterloo, DAY SHIFT

HOURS: Monday – Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am - 11am.


Responsibilities include:

· Planning for preventive and predictive maintenance. Regular scheduled maintenance activities (Oil fill-up, equipment cleaning, replacing filters, changing valves, motor windings service etc.) for all facilities.

· Failure analysis based on equipment history.

· Monitoring and predicting equipment condition - condition based maintenance. Estimation of equipment condition - based on vibration testing, detailed inspection and instrument readings, etc.

· Recommendations for planning capital repairs and overhaul activities.

· Co-ordination with other departments for specialized repair services.

· Forecasting for spares and consumables - all service needs.

· Plant maintenance labor.

· Safety inspections and audits.

· May include facility maintenance as required.

· All other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

· Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification.

-Post-Secondary training or education in the areas of plant maintenance.

· Strong electrical and mechanical foundation must be asset.

-Strong Knowledge of CNC Machines with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak controls a must.

· 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing and plant maintenance.

· Strong problem-solving skills, effective planning and organizational skills and leadership qualities.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including both written and verbal.

· Able to address things quickly and efficiently with a sense of urgency and escalation.

· Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced organization and able to work to tight deadlines.


Physical Demands:

· Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking, bending, climbing / descending / going under or on equipment as well as some physical lifting.

· Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and lubricants and vibration.

· Wears all PPE as required.
