Job Description

We understand the pivotal role that Millwrights play in ensuring seamless manufacturing operations,we are currentlylooking forMillwright(s)for our manufacturing partner in Barrie, Ontario.

The primary role of the Millwright involves the proficient mending of equipment in disrepair, including motors, pumps, valves, controls, and various machinery. This entails the secure and efficient utilization of hoists, forklifts, manual tools, and powered tools. Moreover, the Industrial Millwright will be responsible for identifying and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues related to the associated equipment.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Apply mathematical concepts for diverse trade-related calculations.
  • Validate the effectiveness of repairs by operating repaired machinery and equipment.
  • Rectify or replace faulty components of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure optimal operational status of industrial production and processing machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical equipment failures, perform troubleshooting, and implement corrective measures.
  • Notify the Maintenance Manager about deviations from standards or any irregularities.
  • Employ lift machinery when required for job execution.
  • Interpretation of blueprints, schematic diagrams, and drawings to formulate appropriate work processes.
  • Conduct disassembly and reassembly of machinery to facilitate inspections, part replacements, and repairs.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment, employing manual and power tools as well as welding gear, prior to installation.
  • Utilize machine tools like grinders, drill presses, and saws to craft necessary parts for maintenance, overhaul, or setup.
  • Analyze test outcomes, equipment error codes, and input from operators to identify and address equipment issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise maintenance records and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMM’s).


Skills, Education & Experience

  • Proficient in applied mathematics, mechanical understanding, and fundamental electrical knowledge.
  • Successful track record of upholding internal and regulatory guidelines, procedures, and prerequisites.
  • Solid comprehension of conveyors, pumps, granulators, pneumatics, and proficient use of industrial tools.
  • Competence in operating Mig, Tig, and Arc welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with standard maintenance protocols, preventative maintenance schedules, basic documentation practices, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in deciphering hydraulic schematics.
  • Preferably holding certifications for Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, and other lift vehicles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: $29.99-$43.18 per hour
