BC or Inter-Provincial Millwright Trade Qualification

Minimum of 5 years' related work experience in a heavy industrial environment that includes the maintenance and repair of:

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to recognize and assist in resolving issues

Effective verbal and written communication skills

$1,000 after completion of the Probationary Period (90 working days)

Pipefitter experience and/or welder certification is an asset.

5+ years maintenance experience following Red Seal certification, preferably in an industrial/chemical production environment.

Carry out site tours as required for third party inspections and certifications of equipment as required

Experience commissioning industrial facilities is highly desired.

Forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift Certification is an asset.

Confined Space Entry/Rescue Certification is an asset.

Maintain comprehensive and precise maintenance records and utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMM’s).

Notify the Maintenance Manager about deviations from standards or any irregularities.

Proficient in applied mathematics, mechanical understanding, and fundamental electrical knowledge.

Preferably holding certifications for Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, and other lift vehicles.

Interpretation of blueprints, schematic diagrams, and drawings to formulate appropriate work processes.

Diagnose mechanical equipment failures, perform troubleshooting, and implement corrective measures.

Great pay $44-46/hr dependent on experience

Straight day shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Work within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment, while improving processes

Experience working on heat treat equipment would be an asset but is not required

Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry

Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment.

Assist in troubleshooting and then repairing mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings and gears

Trade Certification: A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) is required.

Experience: 4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principles is preferred.

Experience installing, maintaining and repairing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, pumps, overhead cranes) are considered an asset.

To install, inspect, service and test hoisting ropes and shaft conveyances.

To perform metal welding excluding pressure welding.

Must possess plant maintenance and machine repair experience, as well as problem solving and troubleshooting.

Must have past experience maintaining a preventative/predictive maintenance system;

Understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts;

Must be a Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright.

Will be responsible for maintenance, repair and assembly of machinery and mechanical equipment;

Must be adaptable to a diverse and time sensitive manufacturing environment;

3-4 years of experience required.

- minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing.

- Knowledge of PLC's, maintenance shop machinery and electronics.

- knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes.

- Minimum of 3 years working experience with mechanical, electrical including set-up, adjustments and troubleshooting.

Applicant must be willing to work in any shifts including night shifts.
