Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Engineer to join our dynamic sales team. As a Sales Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving our sales process, ensuring its success, and taking ownership of the entire sales lifecycle from discovery to closure. You will be responsible for engaging with potential clients, identifying their needs, and providing technical solutions to meet those requirements. Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential clients to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Present and demonstrate technical solutions to prospects, showcasing the value proposition of our products or services.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to qualify leads and move them through the sales pipeline.
- Conduct thorough product demonstrations and technical presentations to address client requirements effectively.
- Provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales activities, including product evaluation, solution design, and proposal development.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations based on their specific needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to provide customer feedback and influence product roadmap decisions.
- Ensure quality control throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial discovery to deal closure.
- Take ownership of the sales process, ensuring timely and effective progression of opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product knowledge and sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to drive the sales process forward.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in a technical or engineering capacity.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools for managing and tracking sales activities.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
