- Conduct regular follow-up with our operations team to determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans and implementation
- Work with our operations team to identify labour needs for the warehouse operator position
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, photo-copying, preparation of correspondence and data-entry
- Process criminal record check forms for potential new hires
- Ad-hoc assignments as required
- Build and implement campaigns across various social media platforms to attract new applicants
- Prepare, analyze and maintain various HR reports, measures and statistics (i.e. vacancy reports, headcount report, etc.)
- Primarily assists with the recruiting and selection process for new employees including conducting pre-screen telephone interviews, scheduling in person interviews, extending job offers, and providing other administrative functions
- Attend career fairs for recruitment purposes and to promote Loblaw as a Great Place to Work
- Get in touch with external sources to post openings
- Coordinate new hire paperwork
- Review applicants to evaluate if they meet position requirements
- Exceptional team-building ability and a strong people development background
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and other social media
- Proven customer focus and the ability to develop and nurture positive customer relations
- Intermediate computer systems knowledge (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail
- Must have excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with key partners to produce innovative solutions
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and privacy pertaining to all employee and payroll records and any shared internal communications
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency within a fast paced and demanding work environment
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Demonstrable ability to model blue culture behaviours and align business decisions to CORE values
- 1-3 years progressive HR experience, coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a definite asset
- Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification
