We are excited to be accepting applications for the following position:

HR Recruiter

• Contract Full-time- 37.5 hours/week

• September 2023 to August 2024


Summary of Duties:

Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, People and Culture, and in conjunction the Human Resources (HR) team, the primary role of the Recruiter is to complete full-cycle recruitment from proactive sourcing through to hire. The Recruiter will be responsible for executing a recruitment strategy using various online platforms to attract and source talent and maintain a pipeline of suitable candidates to fulfill the organization’s current and future needs. The Recruiter ensures the integrity and confidentiality of all records and correspondence; maintains communication with all other staff members; participates in education, orientation and public relations as required; maintains a safe work environment; participates in Grandview Kids’ Quality Improvement Program (QIP) activities; and carries out other duties as assigned.


The Recruiter will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as they build strong relationships with the leadership team to support and provide consultative recruiting solutions for a variety of positions, and act as the primary contact for all external and internal candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process. The Recruiter will be responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships with various external stakeholders to further support the recruiting process and the organization’s goal of identifying top talent for vacant roles and building a successful employer brand.


Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with hiring managers and candidates to coordinate and schedule interviews either in-person or remotely via Microsoft Teams
  • Notify applicants of results of selection process, provide feedback as needed and prepare job offers
  • Conduct telephone pre-screening for applicants as needed to evaluate skills, knowledge, and experience against job specifications and requirements
  • Work closely with the leadership team to identify current staffing needs and determine the key skills, knowledge, and abilities for various roles within their departments, proactively monitoring future needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders, including but not limited to candidates, hiring managers, HR department, third-party vendors, community groups, universities, colleges and other educational institutions and professional associations
  • Develop effective recruitment marketing strategies and materials to attract, source, recruit, and onboard internal and external talent for various positions
  • Conduct in-person interviews and provide guidance on interviewing and selection to hiring managers to ensure quality of hires
  • Work with the communications team to support the implementation of employer branding activities
  • Develop and post job ads using various platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) to target a wide job seeker audience and proactively research different channels for attracting top candidates
  • Complete candidate reference checks
  • Track and report on key recruitment activity and benchmarking metrics in conjunction with recruitment/HR team members
  • Stay current on recruitment trends, best practices and employment law by maintaining and enhancing a network of contacts in the industry, participating in industry events and professional associations
  • Act as primary contact with internal and external candidates throughout the recruiting process, providing timely status updates, managing expectations and answering questions
  • Administer and participate in the resume collection and screening process, sharing candidate information with appropriate hiring managers as needed


Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with candidates and stakeholders at all career levels
  • Experience with managing and navigating various online recruitment tools such as Indeed /LinkedIn
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Recruiting experience within the not-for-profit industry strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with full-cycle recruitment
  • 3-5 years recruiting experience and knowledge of hiring for clinical roles within a healthcare setting required
  • University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or College Diploma
  • Resourceful, able to proactively anticipate needs and provide effective solutions
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities with ease


You possess a valid Ontario driver’s license, insurance and access to a vehicle, or have efficient and reliable transportation to support our various sites as required. You have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience, experience in a Windows environment, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with superior written, editorial and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills.
