Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with hiring managers across the organization to source and select qualified candidates who share the values and vision of the organization. The Recruiter/HR Generalist will be expected to provide support in all functional areas of Human Resources (employee relations, training, performance management, etc.) and will be the lead on all recruitment activities for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures on-going job analysis are systematically performed and employee profiles/job descriptions are updated as needed;
  • Administer the full employee life-cycle, from preboarding to offboarding (job postings, job descriptions, organizing interviews, reference and background checks, pre-screening, interviewing, and employee offers);
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies;
  • Provide experienced advice, coaching, and support to leaders and employees on policy and procedures, employment / labour laws, performance management, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development and design to promote a fair and equitable work environment;
  • Lead the recruitment processes by building strong relationships and collaborating with the Leadership Team to identify staffing requirements;
  • Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Employee and Labour Relations, will assist with the dispute resolution processes with both unionized and non-unionized workgroups;


Qualifications

  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills and people management skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable with change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or previous experience in the role of Human Resources Generalist or Recruitment, or a very similar position and be able to demonstrate complete understanding of the position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment.
  • Understanding of Labour Law and knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and multitasking to get things done.
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high-level of professionalism and discretion.
  • High degree of collaboration working cross-functionally and geographically.
  • Ability to thrive & succeed in a fast-paced growth environment
