Payroll Coordinator Jobs

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, highly organized Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This individual will work with the Finance team to process payroll and own the employee records for both hourly and salaried employees in several different international organizations.

What you'll do:

• Administer ad hoc payroll runs, prepare calculations for manual cheques, EFT’s and wire transfers
• Prepare calculations for remittances such as EHT, WCB, benefits premiums etc.
• Perform calculations and run pay changes/adjustments
• Respond to and provide guidance on general Payroll related inquiries (benefits, policies, time off etc.)
• Ensure employee records contain all required documentation (i.e. tax forms, contracts, proof of work eligibility, benefits forms etc.)
• Input employee information into our payroll systems and maintain accurate records
• Draft documents relating to employment matters as requested
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
• Be a champion of change and make recommendations to evolve/streamline processes and procedures that support our business growth
• Administer benefits enrollment, changes and terminations (Canada and US)
• Complete T4's and T2200’s (where applicable)
• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees (current team members in Canada, US& UK)

What you'll need:

• Able to handle confidential information and delicate situations with discretion and sensitivity
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is a plus
• Tech savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and payroll software such as Rise, ADP, Ceridian, etc.
• High sense of urgency and able to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work
• Working-level knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and guidelines, experience with US, UK is an advantage
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to compose and edit documents
• 1-2 years of experience in a payroll environment, bonus points if you’ve worked at a tech company!
