How Will You Create An Impact
Chief Event Planner
- Plan and organize in person and virtual company events to drive engagement and the culture of DealMaker
- Support the smooth running of our operations by coordinating, scheduling and preparing for company meetings and events, including our monthly Townhall
- Own the event calendar, initiate new ideas and present project plan and budget to the team for approval
- Work in collaboration with IT to ensure all assets are inventoried and deployed appropriately
- Ensure the office is a safe environment and that first aid kits and emergency exits are maintained and act as first point of contact for facility or equipment issues
- Provide general administrative support including mailing and file maintenance
- Keeping stakeholders informed with office-related announcements through various mediums, including Slack
- Manage the purchasing of office supplies, groceries, beverages, swag and gifts, as well as coordinating any catering needs
- Own facility and vendor relationships and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies
- Responsible for ensuring the physical office environment is welcoming and that our space and equipment is clean and well maintained
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, People Operations in planning and executing special projects, as required
- Help drive strong people experience on onboarding by measuring feedback for each department and drive continuous improvement
- Facilitate pre-onboarding activities to ensure new team members are set up for success from Day 1
- Drive continuous engagement and participation via slack on key DealMaker initiatives (for example, F1 Competition and May Madness)
- Foster and promote DealMaker’s culture to all team members.
- Celebrate and recognize team member milestones by announcing birthdays and anniversaries on slack
- Own DealMaker Employee Swag! Come up with new ideas, design and procurement of awesome swag for company celebrations, recognition and new team members
- Strong hustle, agility and a learning mindset
- Experience with office management or people operations an asset but not required
- Technically savvy and able to learn new systems and technologies
- Adaptable, with a proven ability to work effectively in fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and identify process improvements and efficiencies
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
