Job Description

Position: People & Culture Coordinator

Reports to: Manager, People & Culture (Permeet Brar)

Structure: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

We are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture Team! Our People & Culture Coordinator will work as a liaison for the various departments of the business, addressing employee issues and coordinating day-to-day People & Culture activities.

In this role, you will work alongside our People & Culture Manager to provide HR guidance to all levels of staff! You must be able to work in a fast paced environment, effectively handle employee concerns by using sound professional judgement. Also, you must exhibit positivity and demonstrate resourcefulness to identify and address People & Culture issues proactively. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects with a very supportive team and grow together with the Company!

  • You have superb collaboration and influencing skills
  • You have excellent time and task management skills

Experience

  • You have a Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline
  • You have experience working in a culturally diverse work environment
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Employment Standards, Act, and other HR Related Polices
  • Have a strong background of dealing with medical accommodations, long term leaves, duties required by an employer
  • You have a minimum 2 years of experience in the Human Resources field

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • CPHR designation
  • Recruitment experience

  • Manage employee inquiries
  • Lead various programs and actively participate in a related HR project work
  • Serve as an employee advocate and partner with the management team to unpack challenges and implement solutions
  • Coordinate training programs
  • Ensure the plant follows all laws and established HR policies and procedures
  • Facilitate communication across the organization
  • Coordinate and participate in hourly culture events
  • Champion activities related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
