Job Description
Position Closing Date: August 11, 2023


Working under the direction of the Manager, People & Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator will support various people-centered programs and initiatives. They will use strong administrative skills to support recruitment, engagement, training, and development for all Marcon employees.


About The Role


  • Support employees through various HR related queries and maintain positives relations
  • Review and screen resumes, administer telephone interviews and conduct reference checks
  • Organize interview times and boardroom bookings and associated communications
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential HR documents and files
  • Assist with on-boarding and orientation processes
  • Other People & Culture administrative tasks as required
  • Utilize and maintain the Resource Management software to effectively dispatch employees across construction sites
  • Maintain HRIS (BambooHR) and other processes and systems to ensure that they are up to date
  • Coordinate and support training programs including the maintenance of training systems and processes
  • Prepare various reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and BambooHR
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and manage job postings
  • Assist with the management of engagement initiatives and recognition programs


About You


  • Ability to work in a team environment, and foster effective working relations with peers, employees and guests
  • Flexibility to take on other administrative and duties as required
  • Knowledge of relevant BC employment legislation
  • Strong organizational skills, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Diploma in Human Resources an asset, CHRP candidate preferred
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly confidential information
