Position Overview:

The Mobility Manager will play an essential role in immigration and employment compliance, defining international mobility practices, implement global mobility policies & processes. This role will report to the HR Director and partner closely with Global Mobility, HR Operations, Legal and Finance teams in the Americas region and headquarters.


Responsibilities

  • Acting as primary resource and regional subject matter expert on all aspects of people mobility operations, including immigration & relocation operations (e.g., visas, work permits and permanent resident processes, employee relocation support)
  • Partner with internal & external stakeholders to develop, recommend and implement global mobility processes that improve employee lifecycle experiences, and compliant with all regulatory requirements
  • Support explanation of total remuneration package, including offer & benefits and tax calculation support to ensure the tax filing accuracy for employee
  • Contribute to the implementation and/or optimizations of global HR systems upgrades by providing local COE insights
  • Support to creating efficiencies by having a deeper understanding of current processes, data flows, system capabilities to streamline existing global mobility processes
  • Establishing & ensuring Case Management tools are timely maintained to support visa/immigration, relocation and tax cases in the HRIS
  • Conduct regular process reviews with internal & cross functional stakeholders, ensure documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) of Global Mobility are developed and maintained for easy accessibility
  • Ability to develop & analyze Global Mobility & Immigration related reporting. Work with 3rd Party Vendors to provide solutions to internal stakeholders to mitigate mobility & immigration risks.
  • Serving as a local POC for all inquiries & provide immigration & relocation support to international assignees, international local hires and international travelers
  • Monitor 3rd party vendors performance to ensure SLAs are met


Qualifications & Attributes

  • Extensive knowledge of global immigration laws and processes, and knowledge of industry, market and regulatory changes in areas of immigration, relocation and mobility taxation
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage Global Mobility vendor relationships/partnership successfully and independently
  • Experience with developing immigration & mobility policies and processes to manage relocation and immigration programs at corporate headquarter.
  • Knowledge in Global Mobility management is preferred
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English languages
  • Minimum 8+ years international mobility working experience with HRBP background
  • Detail oriented, creative, pragmatic thinker and problem-solver
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • GMS or CRP Certification is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resource or related major. A Master’s degree or Immigration Law degree is a plus
