Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School (KGMS) is a center of excellence in developmentally informed instruction that empowers children with learning disabilities in a passionate, progressive and inspiring learning environment.
KGMS is an independent school located in North Vancouver BC, we are a member of the Independent Schools Association of BC. We are currently seeking a payroll administrator to work with our controller and administrative staff. KGMS is committed to offering specialized education that is tailored to unique learners. We are looking for an individual that can work in a dynamic collegiate environment. As an employer, we have approximately 80 faculty and staff both union and administrative. Hours and days of work are flexible, work days are not necessarily tied to the school calendar.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Communicate with employees about payroll matters and benefits plans
- Process new hires, leave of absence, return to work and termination calculations
- Maintain records of employee attendance, leave and benefit entitlements
- Process the semi-monthly payroll in ADP
- Complete forms, documentation, and reports for administration of benefits such as pension plan and extended health
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess sound judgment, planning, and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively – written and verbal
- Experience with ADP Workforce
- Ability to work in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Ability to collaborate and support administrative staff
- A strong level of Excel proficiency is required
- Prior payroll experience and payroll designation (PCP or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem identification and resolving skills
