Partnerships Assistant, Canoo, Central Canada
Status: Contract (August 2023 – December 2023)
Location: Remote within Ontario at-large and Quebec if residing in Gatineau. Candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area or the National Capital Region will be given a preference.
Reports to: Director, Partnerships
Salary Range: CAD $52,500.00 - $57,750.00 plus a 10% bilingualism premium if you are fully bilingual in English and French, prorated to contract length.

About This Role
Your work will have a direct, positive impact on the experience of newcomers to Canada, and on Canada’s imperative to have newcomers stay and become citizens.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and deepen the ICC’s partnerships of the Canoo Access Pass in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, alongside the partnerships central Canada team.
Reporting to the Director, Partnerships, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that through our partnerships every Canoo member has access to a growing number of activities and destinations to enjoy. You will do this by growing our partner network and ensuring we’re engaged in the highest quality relationship with the partner organizations in the region.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate the promotion of partner events and activities on the Canoo app and for Canoo email and social media communications.
- Maintain a record of interactions with partners on the ICC’s Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system.
- Draft content such as memos, invitation letters, promotional text, and presentations.
- Upload text & graphic assets on the Canoo app back-end system received by organizations assigned to you.
- Properly onboard new partners onto Canoo in the following sectors: entertainment, arts, culture, leisure, sports, performance arts, and travel.
- Collaborate with all team members, contribute to effective cross-team collaboration.
- Support the coordination of joint ICC-partners' events and marketing campaigns.
- Resolve issues, provide tools & updates, coordinate projects, and request feedback on Canoo and collaboration possibilities with Canoo partners.
- Once new partners are onboarded, develop a successful working relationship with these partners.
- Follow-up with partners assigned to you to retrieve key metrics.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High degree of comfort in verbal customer service
- Work or volunteer experience in or with the arts, culture, recreation organizations, entertainment, tourism industry and settlement agencies is an asset.
- Previous work or volunteer experience in fields such as partnerships management, stakeholder engagement, community relations, sales, public relations, and/or event planning, is an asset
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with an eye on the big picture
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse community members and staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with experience drafting clear and professional messaging
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce or similar and experience managing contact lists or campaign tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Compensation:
- A base salary of CAD $52,500.00 - $57,750.00, commensurate with experience, prorated to contract length
