Office and Program Administrator- Full Time, Salaried ($48,000 - $52,000 pa), in-office role.
Executive Summary:
Christians Against Poverty, a Christian organization, partnering with local churches, with a Head Office in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a person-first, systems-orientated Office and Program Administrator (O&PA).
Reporting to the Development Manager, the O&PA is responsible for ensuring CAP is continually improving the quality of our operations and processes.
You will be a key member of a growing and dynamic team, dedicated to our mission of providing local churches with crucial tools to serve their communities and demonstrate the love of Jesus.

Key Responsibilities:
Office and Finance Administration:
- Responsible for primary telephone and email support for inquiries and new client bookings.
- Support the CEO in reporting requirements for key meetings including quarterly Board Meetings.
- Provide flexible support for teams and increase capacity across the organization.
- Maintain and enhance accurate financial administration and reporting in the organization.
Program administration:
- Primary contact for distribution of materials for churches, including CAP Money partners.
- Provide practical support for the CEO, fundraising and event initiatives as required.
- Maintain accurate and up to date donor contacts and donation reports in our CRM.
- Foster constructive working relationships in a variety of settings.
Spiritual Leadership:
- Participate in Staff Gatherings which include worship, Scripture reading and prayer.
- Representing CAP and communicating our vision and mission with confidence and clarity.
- Measure future operational decisions against the mission and values of Christians Against Poverty
- Pray with stakeholders as needed and requested
- Agree with CAP’s Statement of Faith.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated organizational and time management skills, including an ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities in an open office environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools; experience of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, QuickBooks Online and / or managing a CRM (we use Keela) will be an asset.
- A proven team player with a character that demonstrates humble leadership, and a willingness to listen and learn.
- Christians Against Poverty is a Christian ministry, dedicated to inspiring and equipping the Christian church in Canada with tools to demonstrate God’s love to the community. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus, identify with our Statement of Faith and the mission of Christians Against Poverty.
- A current Canadian driving licence.
- A relevant diploma in Office Administration / Business Administration / Business Management or equivalentORexperience in a similar role or setting.
- Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the various streams of Christian Church across Canada.
- Experience in supporting team members to improve their performance and results delivery.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a permanent, full-time position, in-office position.
We offer a salary of $48,000 - $52,000 commensurate with experience.
