PROGRAM NATURE AND SCOPE:
The Manager, Digital Transformation is a part of Skills for Change’s management team and is responsible for leading the digital transformation activities at all SfC’s sites. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, digital knowledge and transformation of business processes to boost efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Understands and has managed digital transformation projects, supports organizational change with ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional projects and programs.
- Has managed multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; familiarity and/or experience with project life cycle.
- Pays keen attention to detail to provide quality assurance of deliverables including oversight.
- Has a service mindset and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and customer focus.
- Has outstanding judgement and demonstrated project management skills who will ensure projects are well managed and followed through to completion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be updated about the changes in the external environment and prepare the organizational teams to adapt to respond by keeping client service as a focus.
- Data-driven decision making: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to gather insights and measure the impact of digital initiatives. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop monitoring mechanisms to track progress, evaluate success, and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Drive organizational change by supporting a culture of innovation and digital fluency. Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new digital processes and technologies. Provide training and support to staff members, promoting digital literacy and empowering them to leverage digital tools effectively.
- Conduct research, evaluate potential solutions, and make recommendations on implementing digital tools and platforms that align with the organization's goals and enhance service delivery, operational effectiveness, and client experiences.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy: As the Manager, Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for creating and executing a strategic roadmap to drive digital transformation within Skills for Change. This includes identifying areas for improvement, assessing digital capabilities, and recommending innovative solutions to enhance organizational processes and efficiency.
- Collaborate with external partners: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as technology vendors, consultants, and other organizations in the digital transformation space. Seek opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and potential funding to support Skills for Change's digital transformation goals. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for change management and business transformation projects.
- Understand the end-to-end client journey and constantly find ways to improve the experience to our client base.
- Manage all digital tools within the organization like Slack, Salesforce, Google Suite, Microsoft 365 and Learning Management systems.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the nonprofit sector and Skills for Change's mission.
- Lead cross-functional teams: Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, program managers, and IT consultants, to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of digital initiatives while managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Learning Management, Salesforce and Digital tools:
- Oversee all aspects of salesforce management through hands-on administration and optimization.
- Partner with the program management to maintain, develop and execute all Salesforce Reports and Dashboards.
- Drive change through Salesforce automation, e.g., Automate business processes using Salesforce tools such as flows, process builders, workflow rules, approval processes, and formula fields.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the non-profit sector and/or working with immigrant and refugee communities is an asset.
- Experience leading digital transformation projects in a complex organizational environment
- A clear vulnerable sector check is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management or a related field. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Information Technology role; Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365, SAGE and Salesforce acumen.
