Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 5,000 users.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Legal Systems Junior Analyst is accountable for the day-to-day administration and support of the Diligent Entities application used by Brookfield’s global legal business units. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communications and technical administrative skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legal Systems Junior Analyst

• Maintain and administer the Diligent Entities global platform, including creation of data libraries, addition of user defined fields, updates to user roles/profiles, security settings, picklist values, alerts, etc. and maintenance of the Brookfield organization structure
• Perform any related ad hoc activities as required
• Recommend and communicate best practices, tips and tricks to end users including developing and updating policies relating to the legal systems
• Provide end user support, including on boarding and off boarding users, password resets, researching/resolving user problems, and maintain training documentation
• Maintain, administer and support the legal entities system for Brookfield users, which is a global entity management and corporate governance software
• Assist users with issues as they arise, resolve how-to and technical questions related to processes and usage
• Work with multiple business groups to ensure data is kept current
• Enforce Brookfield standards for data completeness and accuracy; distribute periodic control reports identifying missing information and reviewing user access; periodically report to Management group

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to write requirements documentation, knowledge base articles and training materials
• Strong in MS Excel, MS Office Suite, ability to prepare detailed reports and mine data within a database structure
• An ability to respond positively under pressure and with a sense of urgency
• 1-3 years’ experience as a system administrator or similar technical role
• Excellent organization and analytical skills, thoroughness, and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, critical thought, problem solving and ability to see tasks and projects through to completion
• Ability to work unsupervised, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to professionalism
• 1-2 years’ experience with Diligent Entities or similar legal application is considered an asset
• Experience in global commercial real estate, investment banking, or financial services industry is considered an asset
