This role sits within Laurentian Bank Securities, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.

We are an integrated full-service bank owned investment dealer, with multiple lines of business including fixed income, retail brokerage, foreign exchange, corporate lending and equities. Our institutional equity group, focused on small-to-mid capitalization companies, provides a full suite of services to our clients including research, trading and investment banking. Our mission is to find new early-stage investment ideas that generate higher financial returns for our institutional clients.

To support our operations, we are looking for a Real Estate Equity Research Intern to add to our research team.

Responsibilities

• Actively support and participate in local investment meetings and in general analytical discussions
• Support the team for Building, forecasting and maintaining a financial model for companies under coverage
• Support the team to develop research to support high-level investment themes

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• CFA would be an asset
• Strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical thinking skills.
• Equired.
• Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, formulas, pivots, and macros, and business applications such as Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Factset and Eikon.
• Self-motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment; strong multi-tasking skills
• Bilingual (French and English,spoken and written), an asset
• Prior Equity Research Experience would be an asset.
• Experience in economic and financial analyses.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
