Job Description

Fairgrounds is looking for a business-minded real estate professional to lead and drive growth as they expand throughout Canada and beyond. The ideal candidate has experience in business and commercial real estate negotiation and would be considered a highly skilled excel user. If this sounds like you, we'd love to connect!


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present findings to internal and external stakeholders, detailing development feasibility, budgets, opportunities, risks, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain financial models for new and ongoing projects to assess financial capacity and operational feasibility
  • Develop and manage communication protocols with developers, including distribution of performance updates, financial information, etc
  • Analyze proposed site locations to ensure the opportunity meets the goals and objectives of Fairgrounds through review of feasibility reports, market reviews, risk assessments, etc
  • Assist with strategic decisions and business initiatives associated with operations, marketing, and investor relations
  • Assist with special projects and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Track and report on progress, timing, and updates for all pipeline projects


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and project management experience and attention to detail
  • Commercial real estate industry experience, having worked in development, property management, construction, asset management, or similar
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize deliverables, and manage and meet tight deadlines
  • Degree in urban planning, real estate, economics, finance, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented and proactive with a passion for developing strong relationships with existing and prospective partners
  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Strong Excel skills
