The Need


After almost 25 years of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting those who are experiencing poverty from violence, IJM globally has become a $100+ million organization. To contribute to this growth, IJM Canada is adding an interim part-time Administration Operations Coordinator to support the operational and office administration duties for IJM Canada office. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of work experience and have a strong desire to contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the office and key initiatives to support the fundraising teams.


As a Coordinator your primary responsibilities will be supporting the physical office operations, assisting in the review and implementation of office procedures and standards, providing project management support to marketing and fundraising projects and providing administrative support to fundraising operations.


Job Type: Part-time, Temporary (30 hours per week)


Approximate assignment duration: 7 months, July-February 1, 2023


Compensation range: $20-$25/hr.


This position will require at least two days in the office in the Greater Toronto area and reports to the Director, Strategy & Operations. Recruitment contact: Kirsten Caudill.


Responsibilities:


  • Assisting in the review and development of operational procedures and standards.
  • Providing support to improving the office functioning and assisting in the organization of the office facility.
  • Answering the office’s main number and, where appropriate, assisting donors with their inquiries.
  • Supporting the review and implementation of physical and remote office procedures.
  • Collaborating with project managers and assisting in the project management activities.
  • In collaboration with Constituent Relations and Operations staff, provide support to fundraising operations including supporting donor communications.


Requirements:


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in office administration and/or service industry;
  • Currently pursing degree or diploma in related field such as marketing or business administration;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; and
  • Experience with scheduling, calendaring, and project management.

  • What is a statement of faith?


A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
