Job Description
Responsibilities


  • Sales support: Offers technical advice and provides support on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/sales personnel regarding Grid Edge Solutions’ products/systems/ applications.
  • Stay informed of various industry standards surrounding energy storage such as NFPA 855 and UL9540
  • Promote and present products, system and services.
  • Knowledge of power system and applicable standards.
  • Understand customer needs and work with the Operating Unit Bid & Proposals team to determine the most ideal customer solution.
  • Provides technical support during technical meetings, product presentations and tendering phase of the sales process.
  • Proposes technical solutions for complex enquiries.
  • Drive and desire for continued learning of new and emerging technologies applicable to Grid Edge Solution market.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and pears in Grid Edge Solutions Units around the globe to establish best practices in the MicroGrid sales process.
  • Provide support with the integration of batter energy storage systems and other microgrid assets into power systems.
  • Deep knowledge and continued learning of battery energy storage technology and applicable market drivers.
  • Ensure the technical aspect of bids are professional are targeted, concise and successful with the aim of driving continuous improvements.
  • Foster Teamwork
  • Participate in the Risk Review process and Risk review meetings when applicable.


Qualifications


  • Prior experience working with energy storage solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and a minimum 1 years of experience working in automation and/or electric distribution.
  • Certificate of Completion from a technical or military technical school and ten years of experience working in automation and electric distribution
  • Prior experience with design, build, and constructing turnkey energy storage projects.
  • Prior experience working with Homer modeling.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the North America.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 855 and UL 9540 standards
  • Prior experience working with microgrid solutions.
