Compugen is seeking a IT Field Technician- for an initial 2-month contract working 2 days per week. Travel to various sites within the GTA is required.
Responsibilities:

• Tests hardware and software to ensure proper functionality, including computers, printers, peripherals, handheld computers, telephones, and cellphones. Maintains and upgrades systems as needed.
• Sets up computers and installs various applications and programs.
• Partners with corporate IT teams for on-site efforts, including work related to networking, telephony, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Provides escalated computer support services for IT related inbound inventory, outbound shipping, and product delivery operations.
• Provides technical support for hardware and software issues. Assesses hardware and software to identify problems. Manages and resolves moderately complex issues escalated by lower-level technicians.
• Serves as the primary point-of-contact for IT-related issues for distribution center associates in an assigned region.
• Records work in work-ticket system to maintain measurable support metrics per site.

Qualifications:

• A college or university education within Computer Sciences
• 2 years of experience with desktop deployments, troubleshooting and upgrades
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. regularly
• Effective written and verbal interpersonal skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ticketing system experience
• A+ Certification an asset
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Windows Operating System proficiency ideally in Windows 10
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Previous experience completing complex Installs, moves, adds, changes of computer equipment
