Serves as the primary point-of-contact for IT-related issues for distribution center associates in an assigned region.

Create detailed logs and use support documentation to resolve or record incidents in an efficient manner.

Liaise with second and third level support teams to escalate and resolve problems where necessary.

Take a keen interest in IT, keeping up to date with latest technological developments.

Ensure adherence to corporate policies, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety.

Collect and record performance stats.

Offer on-site and remote support, by phone and email, to the company's users and all their retailers;

High flexibility and remote working

More than 2 years of experience as an IT technician / Helpdesk;

Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and M365;

Knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, etc. network protocols;

Diagnose and resolve level 2 problems;

Educate and train users on basic IT procedures, such as password management and data backup.

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training in IT support is a plus.

Proven experience in providing technical support to users in a professional environment, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and software installations.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues efficiently.

Possess knowledge of system administration (Linux and Windows); and/or Possess knowledge of network, virtualization and storage systems;

You Should Have Experience Supporting The Following Technologies

Third-level qualification in Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics (candidates who have a proven IT capability will also be considered)

Experience in Retail/Hospitality IT Systems or EPoS an advantage but not essential

Previous experience in a Technical Support or Field/Installation engineer role desirable but not essential

Installation, training and technical on-site support of EPOS IT systems

Travel to client sites to resolve technical issues and provide IT support to customers across the Connaught region

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification would be very advantageous.

Working experience with Microsoft Products, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Experience with PC and Server/Storage Hardware.

Working Knowledge of Network switches and cabling.
