Summary:

Performs system and network installation, maintenance, testing, and repair tasks with limited supervision. Applies intermediate-level technical expertise to implement and support IT projects. Offers technical assistance and resolves moderately complex issues. Supports users/departments in implementing requests or proposals and assessing information system requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • May also participate in larger-scale projects with organization-wide impact.
  • Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Handles a range of technical support and maintenance responsibilities, including record keeping, project documentation, and user instructions. Coordinates and maintains records related to network users, security, and equipment inventory levels.
  • Offers advanced support, maintenance, and testing for technological systems, troubleshooting moderately complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and maintain stability of hardware and software components for efficient system operation.
  • Contributes to research and development efforts and assists in implementing new technologies. Plays an important role in moderately scoped technology projects and may integrate the work of other staff members.
  • Participates in assessing and recommending hardware and software solutions and network updates.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains computers, workstations, and related equipment.
  • Stays up-to-date with technological advancements, regulations, standards, and systems relevant to the role.
  • Provides assistance and troubleshooting for various software applications and hardware systems used by department users.
  • Delivers individual and group training to staff, on new or updated technologies.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Hyper-V and Active Directory experience.
  • Technical Diploma in Computer Science, Network Administrator preferred; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, equivalencies will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities Required

  • Ability to analyze and resolve computer problems.
  • Strong sense of prioritizing matters.
  • MS Office 365 troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems.
  • Awareness of the latest technological advancements and trends in the specific field of expertise.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Proficiency in conducting preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Inventory Skills.
