Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Support Engineer with expertise in Nutanix to join our dynamic IT team. As an L3 Support, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with the IT team, system administrators to ensure the smooth operation of Nutanix environments and resolve complex technical issues.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure environments.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles to document troubleshooting steps and best practices for thesupport organisation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed to ensure 24/7 availability and rapid response to critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and network teams to ensure proper integration and connectivity of Nutanix clusters with other infrastructure components.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and migration of Nutanix environments, including software upgrades and patches.
  • Perform proactive monitoring, analysis, and maintenance of Nutanix clusters to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact system performance.
  • Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues related to Nutanix deployments.
  • Coordinate with Nutanix technical support and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues that require vendor assistance.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to L1 and L2 support teams to enhance their understanding of Nutanix infrastructure and improve their troubleshooting capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Experience in providing L3 support for Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.

In-depth knowledge of Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV), Prism management interface, and Nutanix software services.


Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, storage systems, and networking concepts.


Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues.


Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.


Good-To-Have

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Certifications, such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP), or equivalent, are highly desirable.


Experience with other virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
