Job Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and organized individual to join our team as an HR Office Assistant. As an HR Office Assistant, you will provide crucial support to our HR department, ensuring smooth operations and effective administration of HR functions. This entry-level position is remote and based in Canada, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and company-wide events.
  • Support the HR team in conducting background checks and verifying employment references.
  • Assist with payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and performance evaluation forms.
  • Stay updated on HR policies, employment legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage employee benefits administration and address employee inquiries.
  • Assist with various HR tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HR processes and procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and HR software.
