The Food Production Assistant works to prepare food production for service within the Food Services department following all par stocks while maintaining hygienic work area. The incumbent will assist in stocking and cleaning of area tools when necessary.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Stocks product, sweeps area, empties garbage, and washes location dishes when required.
• Ensures proper labels are utilized for items;
• Washes, cuts, and properly stores food items as per directions and/or par stocks while ensuring a clean and sanitized work area;

Required Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task;
• Ability of providing speedy, efficient, courteous and tactful service;

• Experience in a food service-related industry and knowledge of food preparation an asset;
• Position is paid at Food Services Worker A – Pay band 2
• Secondary School (Grade 12) diploma;
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stock a variety of merchandise;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Ability to work flexible hours if required.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team atmosphere;
