Position Overview

The day-to-day work activities of a Security Guard working at Ingredion include, but are not limited, the following duties:

• Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Ingredion representative
• Maintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Ingredion employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors
• Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant
• Aid in Ingredion Health and Safety programs/procedures when required
• Document and Customs control for contractors/drivers
• Aid in emergency responses and first aid measures when required
• Weigh scale operations
• There is also some document and customs control for contractors/drivers
• Prevent, help manage, observe, detect, report: Thefts, break-ins, vandalism, accidents, fire, leaks, articles of value found, damage found to building, hazardous conditions, unauthorized parking on site
• Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required

The Applicant Must Possess The Following

• Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
• Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
• Write clear, concise and legible reports

Certification Requirements (Any)

Valid Ontario Security License
