Financial Integrity & Controls is looking for a creative thinker to join the team as an Operations Senior Analyst supporting Affinity and GB Reinsurance business through balance sheet reconciliations, billing/payments and accounting while providing continued operational improvements and ensuring integrity for our customers and financial statements.
Reporting to the Manager AO Financial Analysis, the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to contribute to a progressive culture across Affinity & GB Reinsurance businesses while being accountable for mitigating financial risk, communicating with business partners, and ensuring balance sheet and income statement integrity.
These Objectives Require Mastery Of Functions Such As
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining accounts in good standing
  • Communicate high risk impacts to management
  • Monthly/quarterly/yearly Financial Close Cycle Reporting requirements
  • Provide input on FIC project requirements as needed & support testing as required
  • Complete monthly, quarterly journal entries associated with all billing functions by due date
  • Reconciliation of monthly and quarterly Travel & Non-Travel Billing Reports to complete billing by due date
  • Complete reinsured client experience reports and support Pricing as needed
  • Reconciliation of cyclical billing/payment Affinity & GB Reinsurance
  • Collaborate with business function partners to ensure customer and financial integrity
  • Recognize process gaps through account reconciliations and collaboratively drive the installation of process enhancements to eliminate future financial discrepancies
  • Account Discrepancy Resolution
  • Analyze and Communicate to the appropriate parties any roadblocks preventing completion of tasks
Shared Responsibilities
  • Able to independently verify and reconcile information under review, ensuring accuracy of information and output delivered
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to refine Operational Billing & Settlement processes
  • Support a customer-centric culture aligned with the Canadian Division strategy by partnering, collaborating, and communicating effectively with business areas including: Business Partners IS, Product, Compliance and Finance.
  • Demonstrate initiative to identify and suggest new quality control standards
  • Form relationships and establish a high level of credibility with Financial Reporting and Operational Business teams including Relationship Managers & Systems areas
  • Provide insight into results and add value to business partners to assist in business decisions
  • Identify and escalate customer service issues where appropriate

  • Independent self-starter
  • Experience Working with Balance Sheet & Income Statement, required

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote
Salary range is expected to be between
$48,450.00 CAD - $80,750.00 CAD
