Our client in Burlington is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with various departments and senior management to provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes and contributing to the overall success of the company.

In this pivotal role, you will play a vital part in operationalizing and enhancing data-driven planning processes while also improving monthly and quarterly reporting. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will have a unique opportunity to present findings to senior management.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Oversee and manage the invoicing processes for various business units, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients and customers.
• Identify and investigate variances from budget and previous periods, providing insights into business trends and performance drivers.
• Support the finance team in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive weekly cash flow forecast to provide insights into the organization's liquidity and funding needs.
• Review and reconcile accounting transactions to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute financial insights to support strategic decision-making and process improvements.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial data and assist in analyzing and validating budget assumptions.
• Perform regular general ledger account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any audit findings.
• Proactively prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly and proactively address any reconciliation issues.
• Provide support during the annual financial audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and information.
• Accurately record monthly and year-end general ledger entries in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as required by senior management.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools
• CPA completed or near completion
