Job Description

ToysRUs Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has a full-time opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Finance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and refine cash flow forecasts (short and long term) including detailed, weekly receipt/disbursement models as well as monthly
  • Manage the daily treasury operations and reporting requirements
  • Participate in the development of complex financial models (working capital, liquidity, cash flow, pro-forma P&L/BS/CF statements) and provide analytical support for the development and execution of financing, investment and capital allocation strategies
  • Track actual performance vs. prior projections and explain variances

· Manage relationships with existing partner bank(s)

  • Provide support to other Finance/Accounting functions as needed
  • Compile various monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Manage sanctions banking compliance oversight/liaison
  • Produce Ad-hoc analysis as needed to provide insights into areas of risk and opportunity and influence business strategies
  • Complete interest expense projections, debt compliance reporting and working with Accounting on financial reporting related disclosures
  • Manage and review credit lines and limits
  • Reporting, analysis and P&L of specific segmented parts of the business


Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Superior analytical skills
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 5 + year experience in retail corporate finance or accounting; preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and controls in managing operational risks associated with a treasury environment and has a proven track record of identifying process improvements
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Must have a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • A team player who gets results by collaboratively working with people as a problem solver and decisive decision maker
  • In depth knowledge of existing and developing treasury products, solutions, and systems.
  • Post-secondary education; degree in Business, Finance or Economics is required
