NEXT Supply is the new generation of supplier in wholesale Plumbing and Hydronics –setting superior standards in service, product availability and delivery. NEXT has 12 strategically located local warehouses across the GTA, each with a full quantity of inventory and strong, strategic delivery capabilities.
Overview:
The Procurement Analyst contributes to the Procurement and Financial strategy of the organization by extracting, analyzing and interpreting purchasing data that supports our sourcing strategies within the Procurement team and the organization as a whole.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to align purchasing decisions with customer demand forecasts.
- Gather and analyze data related to sales, inventory and supplier performance to support decision-making processes.
- Analyze and maintain accurate purchasing parameters in our SXE system and work with the purchasing team to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts.
- Developing and maintaining a seasonal strategy for specific skus.
- Support data entry and extrapolation from the SXE ERP system.
- Prepare reports and do the analysis for overseas import containers as needed.
- Any other duties as required.
- Build all load reports for product database updates, ie. Cost increase files, part # changes, etc.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels of our full sku database to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
What we require:
- Post Secondary diploma/degree in Business, Economics, Purchasing or a related field.
- 3+ years of previous experience as an Analyst.
- Multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage various projects and activities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Product knowledge of plumbing and hydronic supplies is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High sense of urgency and strong work ethic paired with a splash of common sense.
- Team oriented – ability to work well with others.
