Southbridge Care Homes are currently looking to add a talented Financial Analyst to our amazing family of corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Senior Development Accountant. The FA role is a highly visible position that provides the foundation in all aspects of finance and accounting while also having exposure to operations and property redevelopment. The FA will be involved at various depths with financial reporting, accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance.

You will be accountable for…

• Compile, analyze and report on operating metrics.
• Assisting in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making, and for the board of directors.
• Involvement with preparation of forecasting and business planning process.
• Other duties as required.
• Maintaining controls over accounting processes, while completing various corporate level journal entries, processing invoices, and payroll.
• Preparing consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate and lead the resolution of complex technical accounting issues, including coordination with auditors and our external property management company.
• Identify and take advantage of opportunities for improvement in accounting & financial reporting.

A successful individual must have…

• A recognized professional accounting designation or CPA student is an asset but not required.
• Strong financial accounting background with experience in preparation of working papers an asset.
• Financial systems experience an asset, and requires advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.
• Post-secondary accounting education or related work experience.
