Senior Financial Analyst Jobs

We have an immediate opening for an ambitious Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global manufacturing Finance Team located near London, ON. Reporting to the Controller, our ideal candidate will have responsibility for performing general accounting/financial reporting duties, process clarification and improvement, standard costing on an activity-based costing level and meaningful variance analysis.

As a key member of the Finance Team you bring a hands-on focus to the role and will enjoy a fast paced environment performing effective cost accounting to find variances and ways to improve performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Controller in forecasting and budgeting preparation including ensuring that Journal entries are timely and up to date so data is current
• Performing month end and year end duties that include journal entries, account reconciliations and operational reporting (internal and external)
• Responsible for managing the month end closing Preliminary review of Month end Financial Statements, reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
• Prepare daily/and weekly Cash flow forecasts
• Maintain and update fixed asset system
• Lead the annual audit process
• Responsible for all entries made to GL, including Manufacturing Accounting Adjustments/Process
• Assist with annual inventory count and valuation
• Inventory Control and material usage analysis, monitor cycle counts and material variances within JDE system
• Ensure all Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled monthly and intercompany transactions/accounts balance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced/Expert Microsoft Excel proficiency
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a fast paced manufacturing setting
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Ability to lead and work effectively with minimal supervision and balance multiple conflicting responsibilities
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Costing Principles required
• Strong Financial Analysis experience a must
• Experience with ADP Payroll software is an asset
• Professional Accounting Designation
• Able to work within tight deadlines
• Experience using as well as implementing MRP/ERP systems is an asset
