Lead Event Specialist

We are helping our client to hire an event specialist with experience is all aspects of producing a conference or trade show. This person will be responsible for all events and sponsorship activities for the organization. They will be strategizing, planning, and executing an annual conference and tradeshow, with an emphasis on driving attendance, securing partnerships and sponsorships, and enhancing the attendee experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally with a team of business development professionals to develop business objectives, concepts, deliverables, and timelines for the show.
• Develop a multiyear strategic plan for the growth and expansion of conference and tradeshow programming, collaborating with internal and external. stakeholders to ensure conference objectives align with overall business strategy.
• Manage suppliers and partners for space arrangement, marketing collateral, hotels, equipment rental, and exhibit set-up and dismantling.
• Manage large event budgets efficiently and effectively.
• Foster relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and other key stakeholders.
• Evaluate event effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
• Supervision of third-party contractors for a positive customer experience.
• Execute trade show promotional plans to maximize company exposure.
• Oversee all aspects of annual conference and tradeshow, from concept development to logistics, marketing, and on-site event management, working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure smooth project execution.
• Management of all booth properties and convention assets.

Requirements:

• Ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns and strategies for trade shows.
• Experience in securing sponsors, vendors, and exhibitors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with various internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work long hours and on weekends leading up to events.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale trade shows or exhibitions.
• Excellent planning and execution skills, with an ability to evaluate event outcomes based on established metrics for quality and attendance.
• Five years of experience in event planning or management.
