Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

Three months' related setup and teardown experience.

Performs the setup and dismantling of events, including theatre, weddings, banquets, conventions, meetings, trade shows and cabarets.

Responds to client requests before and during events.

Assists with janitorial and general cleaning duties.

Provide on-site event management, maintain logistical control of events, and oversee the work of vendors to ensure event requirements are met

Solid knowledge of accessibility requirements for events

Develop and manage event budget, schedule and volunteer support (if needed) in collaboration with internal partners

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Contracts and Accounting-Manage all payments and contracts related to the Franchises. Provide cross coverage when required.

University Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Science related field, Education, Event Planning or related field

Five years of experience in event planning or management.

Management of all booth properties and convention assets.

Manage large event budgets efficiently and effectively.

Manage suppliers and partners for space arrangement, marketing collateral, hotels, equipment rental, and exhibit set-up and dismantling.

Supervision of third-party contractors for a positive customer experience.

Proven experience in managing large-scale trade shows or exhibitions.

Exceptional organizational, project management and time management capabilities with a strong attention to detail

Keeps informed regarding partner’s personal changes, product development, renovations, changes in management

Strong knowledge/understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry

Strong knowledge/understanding of marketing principles, including social media and digital marketing

Prior experience in destination marketing organization is an asset

Prior experience with SimpleView or other CRM program an asset

Includes contract processing, payment and credit card reconciliation, team schedules, updating the event dashboard, inbox management

Working towards the completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma, event and/or hospitality management areas are preferred

One year of professional experience in an administrative role

Previous knowledge of Cvent, Concur and Ariba would be an asset

Event management experience is a must

Team player, positive attitude, strong verbal, and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

2-3 years of relevant experience in an event communications or event planning department

Experience in managing events in B2B environments a must
