About the Role:

ICM Asset Management is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join our team. The Director of Finance and Operations will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of our fund and real estate management operations. This will include accounting, finance, financial reporting, managing auditors, managing vendor relationships, compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow a high-performing fund accounting team through mentoring, coaching and inspiring staff.
• Oversee the fund accounting function and team, including investment valuations, portfolio tracking and performance analysis.
• Provide support and guidance in risk management and work with the team to reduce exposure to risk.
• Work with our Operations team to manage and implement our information technology platforms and needs.
• Treasury management and planning within the various funds.
• Manage relationships with service providers including administrators, auditors and lenders.
• Manage real estate management operations through collaboration with stakeholders and the team.
• Assume fund controller responsibilities including the overseeing the preparation of financial statements for the various limited partnerships and mutual fund trusts.
• Liaise with the wider management team including the Investment and Portfolio Management teams and the Executive Committee on operations within finance and administration.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial and operational systems and processes to ensure they are effective and efficient.
• Support of the management of investor relationships including management reporting, LP accounting and tax compliance.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the organization's financial and operational functions.
• Manage the preparation, submission and review of all required regulatory filings.

Your Qualifications:

• Experience in managing relationships with service providers including external auditors and investment administrators.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in finance, accounting, or operations with at least 3 years at management level. A CPA Designation is required.
• Strong financial reporting skills and experience in preparing regulatory filings.
• Experience with Yardi’s accounting and real estate software, domestic and cross border tax compliance and planning and investment fund structuring are assets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively about complex operations and financial challenges.
• Experience in Fund Accounting. Real Estate accounting and management is an asset.
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring teams.
