Your role


Join our team as a Director of Business Development for our Healthcare team in Central Canada!


In this role, the Director, Business Development (Healthcare) is responsible for achieving or exceeding the sales targets for the Central Canada Healthcare and Furniture, Equipment Planning and Move Readiness (FEMR) service lines. You will also support the national Healthcare and FEMR service lines in the capacity of subject-matter-expert supporting the company’s business development managers and sales teams, client relationship/account managers, service directors and designated senior project managers to ensure that regional and service line sales targets are met.


Responsibilities


  • Participate in the National Healthcare Business Development Team Meeting and ensure the accurate and timely production of associated action logs;
  • Collaborate with the entire Central Canada business development team to align roles, responsibilities, expectations, and reporting requirements about annual Healthcare and FEMR service lines’ goals and sales targets;
  • Assess Healthcare trade show and conference opportunities from a business development and sales perspective and assume a leadership role working with Marketing to plan, participate in, actively follow up on leads, and report back to senior management on the return on investment;
  • As designated by the VP Commercial Strategy and Sales, serve as the Trusted Advisor on new Healthcare or FEMR client accounts where deemed critical to meeting annual sales targets. In the capacity of Trusted Advisor, the Director Business Development will focus on relationship management and not on technical service delivery;
  • Keep abreast of partner and competitor activities in the marketplace;
  • Institute appropriate processes to leverage new and existing Healthcare client relationships in the business development and sales activities within Central Canada;
  • Identify and advise the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Sales, and relevant stakeholders on new sales and service line opportunities; and
  • Lead the implementation of a disciplined business development, marketing, and sales process related to Central Canada Healthcare and FEMR service lines, including facilitating regular team meetings;
  • Provide an annual Central Canada Healthcare and FEMR Sales Plan and report via quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications to the Plan with leadership;
  • Represent the Central Canada Healthcare and FEMR teams to provide input to Marketing in the development of consistent, best-in-class marketing materials;
  • Leverage the CRM software and enhance the reporting capabilities using advanced reporting formats, dashboards, and the regular and consistent use of the software;
  • Participate in the development of new service offerings by representing the “voice of the customer” and bringing market intelligence to the service offering development process;
  • Participate in proposal strategy and development for key competitive pursuits;
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Vice President, Commercial Strategy and Sales commensurate with the role of Director, Business Development.
  • Lead the Central Canada Healthcare and FEMR team in the execution of tactics to achieve goals as defined in the approved Sales Plan. Working in conjunction with the National Business Unit healthcare leads, Regional and Service Line Vice Presidents, Directors, and Trusted Advisors;


Qualifications


  • Previous experience collaborating and mentoring business development and sales personnel to support achieving Healthcare sector pursuits.
  • Influential involvement in national healthcare and medical equipment industry associations
  • University Degree in a Healthcare related field, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing tactical sales plans, including achieving sales targets and account objectives.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading sales efforts for professional services or consulting firms
  • Experience with design, construction, real estate industry, and project management industry
  • Minimum ten years experience in the Healthcare industry
  • Computer literacy, including the use of client relationship management database tracking programs.

Working Conditions


  • Extensive travel is required of the Director Business Development, attending trade shows and conferences, visiting potential new and existing clients, and supporting the Central Canada Regional Business Development Managers.
