Job Description
The Data Research Coordinator (DRC) will manage, maintain and provide analyses of clinical databases for the Extensive Needs (Mi-Care) Program as required and provide ongoing support to Quality Assurance initiatives. The DRC will also assist in the development of program-driven research/evaluation projects according to regulatory and institutional guidelines and requirements, will manage studies, and compile, evaluate and submit data. The DRC will also participate in the Extensive Needs Research Committee, provide statistical analyses as required, organize pre and post questionnaires, engage in ongoing scoring and data management, conduct annual reports and provide advanced health record technology


  • Evidence of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility
  • Minimum of 5 years data management and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated experience in literature review and analysis
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
  • French language fluency an asset
  • Familiar with public health and/or clinical working environment
  • Minimum of 4 years computer programming experience, including working within Databases and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 3 years research related experience and project management

Unit Summary


McMaster Children's Hospital is the regional academic centre for pediatric acute care, rehabilitation, developmental and mental health services. The Extensive Needs (Mi-Care) Program is comprised of Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and Ministry of Health (MOH) funded services for individuals up to the age of 18, whose needs cannot be met in a single service stream and requires an integrated approach across Mental, Behavioural and Developmental Health. The Mi-Care Program supports a culture of innovation, family-centered service and evidenced based interventions.
