What You’ll Do

• Lead Crew Schedulers and Crew Travel Coordinators through irregular operations by prioritizing workloads, communicating plan of action, gathering feedback, and providing support functions.
• Oversee workload delegation from Crew Control Specialist and provide guidance as necessary.
• Manage escalated crew issues, including work refusals, weather issues, etc. outside the capability of the Crew Control Specialist. Review flight schedule changes from Commercial Scheduling & Planning department.
• Provide operational analysis, mitigating crewing conflicts, inefficiencies, and other matters which may affect crewing operations.
• Formulate a plan for operational recovery based on crew data, including basing, pairings, reserve coverage, etc.
• Be available to work varying shifts and ensure smooth transition to the following shifts Crew Control Manager.
• Be a leader in continuous improvement and provide feedback to leadership team on any new processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Effectively work with Operation Control Centre Duty Managers to work from irregular operations.

What You’ll Need

• Demonstrated experience applying CARs in an operational setting.
• Knowledge of AIMs scheduling system an asset.
• Be available for 12 hour shift working a 4 on 4 off schedule.
• Experience with operational recovery and conflict resolution.
• Familiar with EASA regulations pertaining to crew duty and rest regulations.
• Demonstrated experience prioritizing and organizing a team in a stressful environment.
• 3-5 years work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced organization.
• Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations relating to Airline Operations (Division III).
• Excellent ability to organize, manage multiple tasks and prioritize, able to adapt to changes.
