This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Major responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Requirements

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Current and relevant ERP system experience
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of Corporate Accounting
• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
