Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Conduct audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in a variety of sectors and industries
• Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns
• Review of staff accountant work
• Performance of field work on various engagements
• Preparation of financial statements and related notes
• Opportunity for other special engagements as requested from time to time

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently or in a team-based setting
• Able to develop strong and effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
• Other software knowledge considered as an asset, especially CaseWare, TaxPrep, and CCH iFirm
• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 1-3 years relevant experience working in public accounting with an understanding of Canadian Accounting Standards and the Income Tax Act
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft platforms, QuickBooks, and Sage

Our accounting and tax services range from the preparation of compliance reports and tax returns to sophisticated business reorganizations and succession planning. Our management services include the preparation of business plans, financing proposals, business valuations, computer system analysis and accounting software installations.
